We offer a combo package that includes the CNA prep class and your BLS.

CNA Prep Class

STAT medical training is dedicated to our students passing the Florida Board of Nursing’s CNA exam. This prep class is a fast-paced course and is offered as an evening class Monday thru Friday 4 PM to 9 PM. We offer small classes with individual attention, along with many opportunities for skills practice. Our blended training approach allows you to have full access to training videos at your convenience. We are also open for additional skills practice before your scheduled test date.

We offer a combo package that includes the CNA prep class and your BLS.

We strongly recommend that you complete the American Heart Association Blended training BLS class. AHA BLS is the gold standard for healthcare workers and will be required at most sites of employment.

After successfully completing the CNA Prep course, students should be able to:

• Demonstrate the 22 skills that make up the Florida CNA competency exam.

CPR/First Aid with AED

American Heart Association

CPR/AED offers CPR certifications via a classroom environment or blended/online module within-person skills session for the lay rescuer to learn the basic steps of performing CPR for adults, children and/or infants, relieving choking and using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). During this CPR course, we also offer Basic First Aid, including Environmental, Injury and Medical Emergencies.

BLS (Basic Life Support)

This class is tailored for any healthcare provider and is taught using the standards of the American Heart Association. You have the option to select the best learning approach for you. You can choose the new Blended learning approach offered by AHA. Here you will complete training on the computer then complete the class with an instructor lead check off. Blended learning combines self-paced online training with an Instructor-led classroom session. Students first learn the course content online using a course key. After completing the online module, they attend an Instructor-led, video-based classroom portion focused on skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing.

Our BLS classes are taught by a professional healthcare provider/paramedic with 30+ years
of experience.

After successfully completing the BLS course, students should be able to:

  • Describe the importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on survival
  • Describe all of the steps of the Chain of Survival and apply its BLS concepts
  • Recognize the signs of someone needing CPR
  • Perform high-quality CPR on adults, children, and infants
  • Describe the importance of early AED use and demonstrate using one
  • Provide effective ventilation with a barrier device
  • Describe the importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and perform as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
  • Describe the technique for relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants.

ACLS (Advanced cardiovascular Life Support)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

After successfully completing the ACLS course, students should be able to:

  • Apply the BLS, Primary, and Secondary Assessments sequence for a systematic evaluation of adult patients
  • Perform prompt, high-quality BLS, including prioritizing early chest compressions and integrating early automated external defibrillator (AED) use
  • Recognize and perform early management of respiratory arrest
  • Discuss early recognition and management of ACS and stroke, including appropriate disposition
  • Recognize and perform early management of bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias that may result in cardiac arrest or complicate resuscitation outcome
  • Recognize and perform early management of cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or transfer of care, including immediate post-cardiac-arrest care
  • Model effective communication as a member or leader of a high-performance team
  • Evaluate resuscitative efforts during a cardiac arrest through continuous assessment of CPR quality, monitoring the patient’s physiologic response, and delivering real-time feedback to the team
  • Recognize the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance
  • Discuss how the use of a rapid response team or medical emergency team may improve patient outcomes
  • Define systems of care.
